Description

For immediate release: February 4, 2013 RAFFI ANNOUNCES SANTA BARBARA CONCERT DATE “RAFFI #BELUGAGRADS CONCERT” APRIL 7 AT THE ARLINGTON THEATRE TICKETS ON SALE Vancouver, BC ~ Paul Mercs Concerts is pleased to present “Raffi #belugagrads Concert” in Santa Barbara, CA at the Arlington Theatre on Sunday, April 7 at 1:00pm. This concert follows a string of highly successful family shows this past Fall in Canada where six of the seven were virtual sell-outs. Raffi is known for his work as a children’s entertainer whose string of gold and platinum-selling recordings in North America includes his classic song, “Baby Beluga”. Once called “the most popular children’s singer in the English-speaking world” (Washington Post) and “Canada’s all time children’s champion” (Toronto Star), Raffi is also a recipient of the Order of Canada and the United Nations’ Earth Achievement Award. His commitment to honouring his young fans changed society’s outlook on music made for children. “I’m delighted to be singing for children and their families again,” says Raffi. In 2010, Raffi founded The Centre for Child Honouring on Salt Spring Island, BC. With the motto “Respecting Earth & Child,” the Centre is at the heart of a global movement that views honouring children as the best way to create sustainable, peacemaking societies. Recently, Raffi co-founded the Red Hood Project, a grassroots movement to make the internet safe for young social media users. Ticket prices for “Raffi #belugagrads Concert” are $25.00, $35.00, and $55.00 (plus applicable fees and service charges) and are available online at www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1.800.745.3000 and 805.963.4408, or in person at the Arlington Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets. The $55.00 tickets will include an opportunity to meet Raffi in person after the show. Proceeds benefit The Centre for Child Honouring.
